Being a long-term partner of the Czech Olympic Committee, we were asked to carry out the project of a giant slide – an inflatable fun object that was placed in the Olympic Park Rio – Lipno and the main purpose was, as you can guess, fun for the people. Apart from the slide´s 300 m length itself, also safety was of vital importance, including the higher slide speed achieved here in comparison to other slides, the start section was quite steep and there was a sophisticated slide irrigation system along the entire slide length.

Our solution

We designed an ingenious and well-functioning water slide system for the largest as well as longest slide in Europe. To illustrate, the slide is more than 3x larger than a standard size soccer field. A total of 20 000 fascinated riders tried this slide during the 17 day when it had been permanently available. Great! The ride ended by sliding into the stopping basin. Hooray!
